HISTORY OF NATIONAL AGENCY ON SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY INFORMATION (NASATI)
1960 : Central Library of Science and Technology (CLST) was formed under the State Commision of Technical Sciences
1968 : Central Library of Science and Technology (CLST) was splited into Central Scientific and Technical Library under State Commision of Technical Sciences and Social Science Library under the Commission of Social Science.
1972 : Central Institute of Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI) was established based on the Division of Scientific Information by Governmental Decision No. 187-CP dated 4th October 1972.
1990 : National Centre for Scientific and Technological Information and Documentation (NACESTID) was formed from a merge of Central Institute of Scientific and Technical Information (CISTI) and Central Library of Science and Technology (CLST).
2003 : NACESTID changed its name to became National Centre for Scientific and Technological Information (NACESTI).
2008 : Governmental Decree No. 28/2008/ND-CP of the functions, tasks, authorites and organizational structure of Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) defined that National Agency of Science and Technology (NASATI) is one of managemental bodies of MOST.
2009 : National Agency of Science and Technology (NASATI) was officially formed based on the Decision No. 2880/QD-BKHCN of Miniter of Science and Technology dated 27 December 2009.
2010 : The Regulation on Orgaization and activites of NASATI was approved and put into effect by Decision No. 166/QD-BKHCN of the Miniter of Science and Tecnology.
During its history, The National Agency for Science and Technology (NASATI) and its preceeding organizations have been granted various awards including:
- Independence Medal –Third rank
- Two (02) Labour Medals - First rank
